After rebirth, I tore apart the locksmith who set fire to my
daughter

Last life, a fire ripped through my house,
trapping my seven–year–old daughter.

Desperate to get her out, I caved to the
locksmith’s outrageous demand – a thousand
bucks, just to pop the lock.
But that snake, he deliberately dragged his feet,
and my baby burned alive.
Before I could even start to grieve, he went on
a media tour, painting me as some heartless
cheapskate who wouldn’t let him do his job to
save her.
“She just stood there, watching her daughter
burn, all because she didn’t want to pay!”

“I swear, I think she wanted her dead! Maybe
she even set the fire herself!”

The internet exploded. I became public enemy
number one
–
a monster mom, a murderer.
The online trolls finally found me on my
daughter’s memorial day. They doused me in
gasoline and set me ablaze.
Then I woke up, back in my house, on the day
of the fire.

“Hey, you might want to check on your ride.
Looks like someone keyed it!”
I recognized the voice, it was Gladys from
across the hall. Seeing her through the crack of the elevator, I realized I was reliving that day.
Last time, I’d rushed down to the parking

garage after that message. By the time I’d dealt
with the insurance and the cops, I’d come back
to see smoke billowing out of my apartment
window.
My daughter was still inside.
I’d raced upstairs, jammed the key in the lock,
panic setting in, and snapped the damn thing
right off in the keyhole.
That’s when Rick, the locksmith, conveniently
showed up.
I begged him to open the door, get my girl out.
But instead, that weasel saw his chance.
“Well, sure, I can open it,” he’d said, that slimy
grin spreading across his face. “But, you know,
time is money, and this is kind of a risky
situation…”
“One thousand dollars, cash. Not a penny less.
I’m putting my life on the line here. Fires aren’t
picky.”
I didn’t hesitate. I agreed immediately.
He took an hour, saying he had a special
procedure or something. By then, the fire
department had arrived.
We found my daughter on the floor, burned
beyond recognition.
The paramedics tried, but it was no use.
After she was gone, Rick decided to play the
victim. He went online and claimed I wouldn’t let
him break the lock to save my daughter.
The video went viral.
People were furious. They called me every

Some psycho even snuck into my house and
burned me alive on my daughter’s memorial
day.

As a ghost, I overheard Gladys and Rick talking.
They had staged everything. Gladys started the
fire and Rick sabotaged the lock to milk me for
every cent I had.
This time, I’m dishing out the pain they put me
through.
