“It was just a beer! What’s your problem!”
“I know I made a mistake! You don’t need to
curse our kid!”
Curse the kid?
He already died…
Before I could say anything.
<
10:21
I threw up.
All over him.
He was a neat freak.
Instead of getting mad he looked worried.
And started to touch my forehead.
100
“You’re burning up!”
“Let’s go to the hospital”
Before I could say anything he picked me up
and brought me to the car.
When I got in I smelled something.
Under the chair I found women’s shoes and a
torn pair of stockings.
Mark frooked out
<
10:22
Mark freaked out.
100
I calmly got in the back.
On the way to the hospital he kept checking on
- me.
When he realized I wasn’t going to say
anything.
He started to say something.
“That was Old Man Yang, he used my car last time, I had no clue”
He said the same thing when I found lipstick on
his car.
I cried and asked him about the lipstick.
And he told me I was lazy and paranoid.
I cried for a week
<
10:22
But I ended up apologizing.
Now he’s saying the same excuse.
I didn’t even look at him “ok.”
100
The car stopped.
He turned and stared at me “you’re not mad?”
I looked at him “why would I be? You told me what happened, right?”
I won’t be mad anymore.
I decided to get everything done with the baby,
and then divorce him.
He bit his lip.
And started to drive.
<
I was sweating and shaking.
Right before we got to the hospital.
His phone started to ring, and I could hear
Tiffany’s ringtone.
When he answered the phone, he could hear
Tiffany crying, “Mark, I’m sorry to bother you,
but I fell in the shower and I think I broke my
ankle, please help!”
“Of course, I’m coming to get you.”
“What if Sarah is mad?”
I couldn’t help it, “if you really wanted help, you
would have called 911, not some married guy.”
Tiffany went silent.
And hung up.
<
Mark looked at me.
And stared me down.
100
“I thought I made things clear, why are you so hard on Tiffany?”
“You think you’re so smart, you don’t even look sick, get out.”
I had to take a breath.
He calls her a little girl, even though she’s my
age.
I got out of the car.
He drove off.
The hospital was a mile away, and it was hard
to get a cab.
I saw a mall
<
And decided to go buy everything I needed.
Noon.
I had everything.
I checked my phone and saw Tiffany’s new
post.
Mark was holding her swollen ankle looking
worried.
“A person who loves you cares about
everything you do.”
