My husband dazzled my eyes on the
operating table for Bai Yueguang
Chapter 1
- 1.
A gas explosion. Me and Mark’s freaking dream
girl were both slammed onto operating tables,
barely clinging to life.
Turns out, Blondie McPerfect had a heart
condition that went haywire from the shock.
She was circling the drain fast.
And Mark? My boyfriend of seven years? He
doctored the records, plain and simple. He
killed me. Cut my heart right out of my chest.
He stood there, dripping with my blood, and
squeezed out a couple of fake tears.
“I’m sorry, Liv. I’ll make it up to you in the next

Golden Girl got my heart, a brand new lease on

explosion, bleeding and broken, about to be
But the needle hadn’t gone in yet. There was
still time.
I cautiously moved my fingers and toes. Waves
of searing pain shot through me.
I gritted my teeth, fought to stay conscious.
“Liv? You’re awake?”
Mark’s eyes locked with mine. He looked
surprised, maybe even a little panicked.
But he snapped back to his “concerned
boyfriend” routine fast. He reached out, gently
pressing my shoulder, trying to soothe me.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay, Liv.”
“I’m the one running this operation. I won’t let
anything happen to you.”
I stared him down my eyes cold
